Er... and what they were -
lyric?
Many terms could be understandably applied: claustrophobic, intense, disturbing, frightening, gripping and so on. If some one described them to you as "epic", you'd be nonplussed.
I don't think it actually indicated anything about the game. It has simply become standard to apply the word "epic" to every single rpg, so when used in this manner, it no longer has any meaning. Kind of like "immersive".
Oh, and Interplay is a shambling zombie that needs to be put out of its misery. A Fallout MMO? Be real. And in the public statement (
http://www.rpgcodex.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=16345) they crow about the large "Fallout community" online. As if anybody hates Herve Caen and FO spinoffs more than the online Fallout community! Well, maybe Interplay employees.

Oh, oh! If this turns out to be something like Incubation (but with more of the RPG element added, obviously), this should be nice. :D
So I am not the only one that played this little gem.

Wow. Interplay's website is a joke. I like the approximation of their logo that appears to have been traced in MSpaint, and the way it uses Comic Sans MS for everything. Classy.

Alien RPG? Hmmm. Could be good if done right.
The world set in the Aliens books would make a good setting (Earth totally infested by Aliens after a major fuck up by a research company and some religious fanatics). With the Acid proof armor and people addicted to drugs made from the goo in the alien eggs.
More likely it`ll be a rpg where you play as a Predator and gain access to more weapons/skills with each new level or some crap.

limiting an RPG to 6 kinds of enemies would suck.
I think this whole idea is incredibly stupid, and barring an incalculably-large influx of blind shit luck,
will suck, assuming the end result ever actually sees the light of day.

I dont think anyone is getting excited enough about this: There is a new Aliens FPS coming out, its most probably using the U3 engine and hence will look stunning, and Gearbox have produced some games that don't suck.
Pretty all this game has to do to be highly exciting, to me, is have aliens in it, be on the U3 engine, and not stink. Does no-one else agree?

It was coded with MSWord as well.

Eeeh? Claustrophobic? Intense? Frightening? Gripping? That would be
dramatic.
This is the result of using the word EPIC like a bucket of dung in the popculture. According to classic literature definition, epic is a
narrative poetry or prose, i.e. any poetry or prose with a story, whether dramatic or comedic is secondary. It's antonym, lyric, is a poetry or prose describing author's emotions or thoughts.
If someone described those abovementioned properties to me as "epic", I'd tell him he's watching too many horror movies.
Renegen on 18/12/2006 at 13:22
The Borg invasion could be epic, just as the alien invasion.
