You could have something similar, but not identical. Which is okay - there will be changes in the game. (Personally I'd rather not have the game decide at the beginning whether the Café of Broken Dreams exists in this playthrough or not, but that's personal preference only.)

I don't think this should come as a surprise to anyone who read the original press release since it explictly mentioned that Bethesda has the rights to release the game(s) for PC and consoles.

But Gamebryo is an important little detail.

I'm really late on this thread but oh shit Incubation was awesome, I loved that game. Something like that with a strong RPG element/story to it would be amazing.

Could someone please enlighten me to exactly what was wrong with the Xbox360 Sonic the Hedgehog? I ask because I don't have an Xbox360 for starters & I every person I talk to that has played it speaks about it as if it was the worst game ever made.

i can't say anything about FO2 because i've not played half of it, but FO1's enemy encounters weren't entirely random. when you were within one to two squares of a given area (let's say, the necropolis) you would run into lots of enemies related to that area. so there would be plenty of zombies wandering in the areas around the necropolis, and lots of mutants running around the mariposa military base. you would often run into raiders when traveling through ruined cities that didn't otherwise have a special square (there's a few pockets of that here and there, and there's quite a bit of it near LA and the cathedral) and when you were in the wilderness, you'd meet wild animals such as rats more often than raiders. so while there was randomization there was also in most places higher probabilities of one type of encounter than another.
however, the enemy populations in caves and underground bases and whatnot were most decidedly NOT random. you wouldn't expect to run into raiders inside the glow, now would you?

I still hope for Teletubbies special encounter in F3.

Did anyone play Aliens on the Spectrum? That was pretty tense. It was sort of like Space Hulk on the Amiga. I imagine an updated reinterpretation could be pulled off quite well, with lots of tension. And I'll bet that the films are not the only source material. TTGP - really, you're one of those stupid freakouts who emails their protest at an entire game because of one thing in a press release (that probably isn't relevant). I wish people like you would just post on your blog and stop polluting sensible places.

Was that the one where each and every alien trudged in from the left, noticed you, and then trudged forwards while you frantically tried to cap it before it dribbled you to death? Yeah, that game used to terrify me. An update of that would be fantastic - a first person, RPG-o'ed version of alien storm. I loved space hulk as well.

Mixing Sonic design characters with Final Fantasy design human characters, resulting in an uncanny valley the size of the grand canyon. A rather ridiculous storyline (whilst having every character play a different part of the same story is novel, the story itself...) combined with horrible voice acting, horrible dialogue, and far too many throw-away characters.
Also, the gameplay's supposed to be meh at best. And it has visual pop-in when you run at high speed. But seriously, just hit YouTube, you have
all the cutscenes there in sequence for all the characters, and most of them are facepalmingly bad.
