Actually RoboCop 3 on the Amiga was pretty good fun.
Totally seeing that Terminator idea in a GTA type environment.
But AvP1 was good. Everything about it was good except the tiny MP maps. And there was no marine story co-op mode.

SE, but I am positive there WAS a limit of save slots per mission varying on difficulty! Training had 8 save slots, Realistic, I think 4 and Director's Cut 2!
What's the source of our misunderstanding, different patch versions?

Oh really? My bad then. When I played it all I remember was 8 save slots, and I don't play on Training (natch). I never read anything about a restricted number of slots on higher difficulty. I take it all back then.

Yeah that's me recollection as well. Or maybe 7, 5 and 1. Something like that.
AvP1 is still one of my favorite PvP deathmatch games ever. I really enjoyed the combination of different species/races, weaponry and some really great levels (including many fine user-made ones).
I used to love inflicting the flamethrower on someone until they caught fire and then I'd quickly switch to chaingun and mow 'em down while they ran around all helter-skelter trying to get the flames out. I called it the shake and bake. Great fun. :)
Also, it had the best grenade launcher ever.

Too bad it has serious rendering issues with newer Forcewares.

Heh, first time I played AvP I was still trying to aim with the keyboard.
