In Eavesdropping sneak-attacked and tried to blackjacked a haunt as a Hammerite (played MA before TDP). Not making the same mistake anymore (and still taking my heart meds)...

Sabotage At Soulforge; the last mission in T2 MA. It took me about 10-15 mins just to get my bearings in that HUGE:eek: level. You just had alot to do in that level. Ambush; started off with a bang; IMO. I loved "Bank" misson also.:thumb:

Shipping And Receiving
First time I saw a Child of The Builder… He was sitting in the crate and GAZING at me… I was too scared to come closer…

- Playing thru The Unwelcome guest was like one long moment, albeit with the guard fight being the highlight.
- When I played back the tape in T.M Blackheart's studio in Shipping & Receiving. A tune so campy and funny, and so, so Thief. That kinda humour, like the nobleman's crying right before he passes out from your blackjack decking him; the voice of the nobleman wannabe bank robber in T3 and the opera singer in TG -- that's an often overlooked part of what made the Thief experience so great

I played Thief 2 first, when it came out in 2000 so I've had plenty of time to muck around ;)
I have many fond memories of Thief 2, but some I created myself... :P
I personally love the undead/animal/beast aspect of the Thief games. Though the usual steal a fat nobleman's priceless trinket levels are ok, I think undead and beasts are what make a level interesting and different. So when I first saw Hammer Haunts in Eavesdropping, and the stories my older brother told me about Thief 1 (he had played it at a friend's house), I was just in awe with the Haunts. So Eavesdropping is a pretty good level. Of course years later I would buy and play Thief 1 and enjoy every second of it :D.
I also like Eavesdropping 'cos one day I got bored and lured the Haunts out of the crypt and into the workshop. Watching a Haunt go berserk over the idle Mechanist-cannon sitting there on the workbench was so funny, the never ending struggle :D. Also the Haunts' behaviour was so unpredictable. I saved it, so I would load it again and again and watch the different outcomes. One time a Haunt just suddenly and randomly ran up the stairs into the main hall bit, and he wasn't attacking anyone. He kept on going outside and running in circles again and again before going back inside and repeated. Before you know it you got a few Mechanists and the Builder's Child running after it :P.
Sheriff Truart's Estate simply because of the zombie.
Tracing the Courier, also because of the zombie. Once again I got bored one day and led the zombie out onto the streets. We all know how forgetful the Zombies are so I would lure it all over the map and then hide and leave it to take care of the living citizens ;). Multiple police died trying to fight it :)
Ambush was also funny because me and my brother thought "What happens if I pick up and unconscious body and throw it in the river??" Well that was hilarious the first time we discovered it :D
Soulforge for its MASSIVENESS, and also the fact that you get to create things :D I love making things (I'm figuring out to use DromEd currently) and making all the different objects was fun :D.
Trail of Blood for everything the level is. That level was so, wierd. The apemen also made it memorable because one of their conversations is so funny, where they argue about eating the humans. Also, the TreeBeasts were scary, only because they were so unpredictable. I still don't know just how far you have to push a TreeBeast before it comes alive. Defeating them all for the first time gave me a triumphant feeling as well.
I know in Thief your not supposed to go around as a tank if you will, but I found it fun anyway :P. Particularly the First City Bank & Trust. I got really really angry at the guards one time, so I saved, restarted the level, bought as many destructive things as I could and went rampage. Fighting is actually really easy in Thief. You run forward, over-head swing, run a bit back so the enemy has to move again and repeat. Haunts die in 3 swings if they are aware of your presence, and apemen (this is only in Thief 1 as I haven't played Thief 2 for a while and cannot remember) only take 1 over-head swing and a power side slash even when they know your there.

I have fond memories of 'Blackmail' where I piled up about twenty bodies into Sherrif Truart's bath. I imagined the city watch would presume there was a massive orgy which took place in which Truart unfortunately died in. :)

Probably right away in Mission II. Once the swells kicked in, I knew LGS did it again.
And then my other fondest moment of Thief II was when I realised it was a shooter. I had more fun than I think I would have had in a real shooter! Much tighter design, lots of ammo and things to destroy, prettier AI. :) "boy that gal in cell #17 sure is cute. I cant wait to get a better look at her".
Overall, it was a pretty um, a pretty good game. There really is no substitute for the (

Wow! Deja vu...
My fav missions were Courier, LotP, Shipping jst because to could roam around as you liked.
Fav moments also in LotP: archers (of course) and the Rothshild conversation ("The BUMBELSONS!")
