The missing conversation between Benny and his guard buddy in "Masks".
Though, given, the most hysterical conversation in the whole series is the "Bad Humors" chat through Thief 3.

Trail of Blood. I love the outdoors at night, and wish more FMs were either based on outdoor areas, or at least included wilderness-type areas like that. Granted, I'm sure that type of map is more difficult thant the relatively uniform building style of a castle/city/dungeon, but the woods, mysticism, AND the haunting music just drew me in. I can't tell you how much time I've wasted on that map, just taking in the beauty.
Oh yeah, and hanging one of the Builder's Children by his smokestack till dead in the Lost City. After lobbing bombs at me, he decided to climb under the elevator shaft at which point I brought the elevator down on him. Due to some weird clipping error, his steam/smoke stack thing got stuck in the platform, and when I sent the elevator back up, he went up too--underneath--all the while howling about some malfunction and dangerous conditions, finally croaking his last, he curled up in a ball and gave up the ghost. :D

I always liked shipping and receiving because of the dock's ambient sounds. The whooshing wind and the like were very relaxing and I could just sit there and listen to it play. For playability, I loved the city outside Angelwatch because I like going into smaller areas and taking the money like a regular thief.

Some of the missions in T2 were a bit too big and sprawling for my poor brain; First City being a case in point.
The size of the levels was one of the things i prefered about T2, but that goes hand in hand with another element of T2 - the quality of the maps that you had. The large levels of T2 would have been impossible with the maps they gave in in T1 and T3, and I almost gave up on the police station level on T2 because I was playing it T1-style, wingin' it without a map. once i realized they had equipped me with a usable map, I loved it. the levels were mind-blowingly large but with that map, you could always figure out what you were doing (i know they created an in-story rationalization for the crappyness of the maps in the other games and some may find that more more true to the story, but not me, I really dug having everything i needed to navigate).
big levels and comprehensive maps helped make the levels more completely realized in my head. the more you worked them, understood them, the more they "existed." i realize this may not make much sense, but ...

The trees scared the SHIT outta me! jesus. I've never seen one.
the tree beasts actually gave me on of my favorite thief moments:
i was in the dark with the headphones on, and after working my way through the four seasons at the end of "Trail of Blood" i got to the winter setting. i was snooping around, carefully, and then it dawned on me that some of the trees looked like figures. i walked closer to one, thought it was pretty neat, turned around and took a couple steps and then, "ccrrrraaaccckkk!"
a little wigged out, I turned back around and just as i thought to myself, "hey, that tree looks a little different now," the damn thing started screeching and charging after me (and the fact that you can see their branchy fingers on the periphery of your view when they're right on your ass is a nice touch). scared the bejezus outta me.

Same here, Daisy. Finally got the courage to go there once... One of the coolest parts of the mission. Hell, the whole mission was awesome.
For me, it was the demo, "the unwelcome guest." So many little secrets, and so much to explore. That mission kept me busy for a day or two, just exploring.
