Saw this link on boingboing.net and immediately thought of you Muz, I know you've taken photos of this place. I have seen the outside of this but never been inside, those tunnels sound pretty cool.

The pub our boys braved certainly looked darker then those shots.

Which is not to say they aren't cool photos, but come'on ... for someone who writes "there was a feeling of alarm during various traverses of the underground maze", I expected a at least one shot without daylight.

I wonder if this is some sort of umbrella abandoned stuff site he's working with or has started himself.
Saying Perth has a lot of abandoned stuff doesn't seem like something he'd say. Rare as hen's teeth if you ask me. I can remember walking around Sydney and finding loads of disused old buildings just when I was there for a week. Perth's so sparsely developed and relatively new when it is developed such places are unusual or spread out all over the place.

He/they do impressive work for their apparent ability to get in almost anywhere, often during the day and not get into trouble. It's pretty cool.

Just outside Fernie (in BC) there's an abandoned hotel that some friends and I explored on our way back. There was supposed to be a piano in there, but once we made it in, we discovered that the place had been trashed, and the piano was tipped over, broken into a thousand pieces. Water dripping from the second floor and running into the basement made us hesitant to explore anything other than the main lobby (also, someone had pushed an ice-machine down the stairs, blocking our way up, Half Life-style) so I used up the last few shots on my last roll of black and white film to try and document the ground floor at least (so glad I had the flash):
