I was curious to hear from those taffers who have not bought TDS yet, like myself. What is your reason for not making the purchase yet, and what games are you playing instead?
As for me, I will probably need to upgrade my two-year old PC to play TDS at a decent FPS and resolution. But, more importantly, I have a backlog of excellent games that need attention before I buy the new Thief.

I haven't bought it yet because my current 3 year old pc has Win98, which was able to play Invisible War decent enough. I will have my new pc built in a few days, so maybe then I will get it.

Its not out here yet, so I have a couple of weeks to erm, obtain a copy of Windows XP and get the demo.

My PC's too old - three years. (although I may DL the demo and try it on the kid's PC)
My PC has WinME.
It's summer and I'm WAY too busy doing outside stuff.
Will buy it/play it once the colder months roll around - good excuse for a new PC.
Playing...ummmm....Steel Panthers WWII these days, with the occasional late night Thief FM.

Operating system (98SE) is my professed reason (excuse) for not buying at this time, but I might not have purchased it at this time even if my computer could run it. It sounds like it has some great features, but I know that I will define it in terms of the first two releases and I would rather not be disappointed. Besides, I really need to have a life right now. I have to say that it is sort of a relief that I can't run the game right now. It allows me to relax, live vicariously through other taffer's experiences, and not obsess about whether or not I should buy the game.

My computer is ancient. I'm not really interested in computers games other than Thief or chess much anymore and don't really need a fast computer for anything. Was planning to get a new computer just to play Thief3, but I may cheap out and get an XBox.

no level editor and too many other controversies for me. I have also heard many contradictions coming from the mouths of Ion and Eidos. I choose my entertainment purchases carefully, and with all the great games out now, someone has to convince me to buy the game, not just capitalize on a franchise. If an editor is not released, I will pick it up at a garage sale sometime later on. Right now, I am playing Beyond Divinity, UT2004, Painkiller, and am replaying T1 and T2 in case they decide to release an editor.
I am looking to purchase Half life 2 when it comes out hopefully this summer and far cry

The next six months are going to be full of good game releases so i dont know if i even will buy TDS within that time. Ill probably wait until its in bargain bin. What im playing right now keeps me quite busy and i already have little time to play games. Im really waiting for STALKER and maybe Doom 3.

I don't have the money right now.
I have a Best Buy gift card for $17.77 and a $5 off game cupon, but my mom still owes my $75 for yard work.
I'll probably get it tomorrow.
