I was curious to hear from those taffers who have not bought TDS yet, like myself. What is your reason for not making the purchase yet, and what games are you playing instead?
Erm... it's only out in two countries. The rest of the world is still waiting. In the meantime, I'm playing Age of Kings and (

I need a new graphic card first, and I'm currently a bit unsure what to get, since I want to be able to run all three Thief games without having to change configuration and drivers every time I switch from T3 to T1/T2 and vice versa.
Besides, the game hasn't been released here yet.

Haven't bought it because my rig is crap, if it wasn't, then I wouldn't have bought it because it would be released here in two months or so later on, if it wasn't I wouldn't have bought it because I wouldnt've had the money (I never do), if it...

I haven"t bought it yet, because I'm not allowed to. Processing takes so long on all the sources where I tried to get it, but I hope that my order will be processed with the next hours.

Why? Because the gameplay sucks... nope. Well, maybe.. I don't know.
Simply stated, the game WILL NOT BY ANY MEANS RUN ON ANYTHING OTHER THAN WINDOWS XP. Even Win2K is... sketchy... although it's supposedly "supported."
I have Win98SE installed on my computer. The computer itself is top-of-the-line... fast CPU, 512 of PC3200 DDR SDRAM, a GeforceFX 5900 Ultra... you name it. And since Win98 is 32-bit, with the same command set as WinXP... there is no OS-specific reason it should not work.
But... it appears that Ion Storm has made an intentional design decision to write the program so that it ONLY runs in WinXP.
So... unless you want to "upgrade" (and, like me, lose access to many of your older but still desired hardware and capabilities)... you will not be able to play Thief 3.
SUCKS, doesn't it?
Let Ion Storm and Eidos know how you feel... I have already. And tomorrow morning, the game is going back.
Screw 'em.

I haven't bought it yet... but that's only because no stores in this town seem to carry it yet. I've looked, and it just ain't being there.
Kompi on 28/5/2004 at 23:20
Waiting for the european release so the company I preordered it from can ship it here. So I've ordered it, they just won't bill me (thus it won't really be "purchased") until they can ship it.
Simple as that.

Well, I'm downloading the demo to see if it will even play on my computer. You see I have all the requirements, except I have Nvidia Gefoforce 4MX video card, nuff' said.

I gots to buy me a new "super computer" first and then I'll sneak in someone in here's house who has it and steal it like a Thief should!
It's ok though - I'll leave some cookies by the computer after I nab it to show I'm not a cold hearted thief....... :ebil:

Apparently it isn't available here yet.

My computer is too slow.

I don't have any of the supported operating systems.

Without an editor, I reckon it's not worth the money.
