Reboots. Created by people who have absolutely NO imagination; those suffering from a serious lack of creativity as well as a serious case of laziness.
I feel as though I've already been rebooted to death.
Now it's a Terminator reboot? Guess we should've seen that one coming, right?
P.S. NO ONE could ever replace Arnie as the Terminator. Not even Arnie. ;)

From the writers of Drive Angry and Dracula 2000. Well then. If this is going to be shit, can they make David Cross the terminator?

lol Salvation was supposed to be the start of a trilogy, as well, but that flopped so they aborted the plan. Chances are the same thing is going to happen with this

I'm also tired of re-boots. This Steven Soderbergh essay on (
http://www.deadline.com/2013/04/steven-soderbergh-state-of-cinema-address/) the state of cinema is a good indicator of why we get them constantly.
It's low-risk move money-wise. Successful existing IP to rip off means no need to take risks on new material. Don't blame the industry, blame the people who buy the tickets.

Most ridiculous reboot:
Mirror's Edge.
After one game. Come the fuck on people. No painting is ever finished.

They fucked the Terminator franchise up from 3 onwards honestly. Sarah Chronicles was pretty damn good up until midway through the 2nd season.
But why in the hell reboot the franchise. There is no way in hell that they could get that same magic again.

Best way to make your stand on this kind of stuff is to not go to the theater. I refused to pay for the last Spiderman because I thought it was ridiculous that they rebooted the franchise after less than 10 years. Some day I'll check it out on a $1 redbox deal.

As for rebooting movie or game franchises, I think of this like what they are doing at the theatre or operas: (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Staging_(theatre)) staging a classic. Thus I don't have a problem with that process. Whether or not something good comes out of a new take is another thing.

Whoa whoa whoa. Dracula 2000 was shit, but Drive Angry is a masterpiece, and I'll have no words spoken against it! You take that back, before I shoot out your 'tahrs.'
