What's wrong with setting Thief 4 before Deadly Shadows? Well, the games wouldn't be numbered in order, but at least we could get a lot of the older parts of Thief back without some cheesy deus ex machina. I can't help but feel that at the end of DS, the Keepers were going to disband. They're my favorite. :(

I'd kinda like to have a Thief game about when Garrett was being trained by the Keepers. Some kind of plot that involved the Keepers sending Garrett off to do dubious things and him getting disillusioned with the Keepers along the way.
