forget Deus Ex I want W. Spector to obtain the rights for a new System Shock game - by laurent

I know that I am in the wrong forum but what the heck. I read in a chat log with W. Spector that he is dying to make a new Shock game but he doesn't know who owns the rights. Spector, that is no excuse. Do you hear me Spector. I will be very nice to you because you are one of the few developers that is making the games that I like and you have obtained the rights to make a new Thief game. Without System Shock 1 there wouldn't be a Deus Ex and no Thief and we would all be playing japanes console games and Tomb raider 10 and Tetris 7. I am begging, I am on my hands and knees Spector oh you big game god get the System Shock rights. Forums have been created to discuss this magnificent universe and games so it must be a significant event in gaming history. If U2 or REM would be without a record company wouldn't everybody be willing to obtain the rights to bring out their records? I rest my case.
Spector oh great game god if you ever read this message be smart. If you use the Shock universe and apply all the cool features from Deus Ex it will be a money maker. You will be rich. Rich I tell you.
But know something completely different. I don't like the use of those ugly crates in Deus Ex. To easy. Get another system to use lockpicks in the game. Deus Ex is a very good game especially if you play it a second time. That's the trade mark of a good game. If you can play it a second time with even more fun than then the first it is a great game. Give me a System shock game Spector(oh you great game god). Ahum.

I am trying to ask him for you Laurent. I sent Havey Smith a message asking him, so hopefully we can get Warrens exact words on the issue. Maybe I could even lure him on here for a quick response....hmmmm, sounds challenging.

LOL. It may be a good idea to lure him here, but i dont think its that great to have the topic entitled - "forget Deus Ex I want W. Spector to obtain the rights for a new System Shock game". Sounds kinda threatening.
To brag a little, on an old site i co-hosted, we got an interview with Harvey Smith. Its not very long - or good - but he says that hes the project director for Deus Ex 2. They also got Thief 3 going. So, it cant possibly be made - by ION AUSTIN - until after Thief 3 is done.

It was indeed the Tech TV chat that I was refering to. I think it is very cool that someone is trying to get a response for me. Of course I was kidding around a bit but I am very serious when I am mentioning the forums and fansites. System Shock but also Deus Ex and the Thief series are a bit more than just a quick pastime. Fans like to discuss them and have suggestions to improve those games and the developers are actually using this feedback. That is rather unique. So therefore it would be a pity if the System Shock series would disappear.

Sorry, it was the redherring chat

Frozenman,
You must not get out much. I talk to Harvey all the time man, sometimes on a daily basis, so getting Warren to swing by, or Harvey to swing by for him and post is no big deal, really. Again, I tried contacting Harvey but no response...today must've been a very busy day. BTW, if you want to see my first interview with Harvey, then go here

Keep watch at our site, because Harvey will be making another appearance by next month, and by the end of this week I'll be posting my interview with Alex Brandon, and YES, Harvey is the Lead on DX 2.

this had better been a joke or i would see myself obliged to smack you right into the face! deus ex is the best game i ever played (abeart of thief 1 , of course, but looking glass died RIP), whereas system shock is nothing but a bunch of too complicated menues trying to hide the incompetence of the game!
no, just joking; but whats your MF problem with deus ex? after all , it's a good game and there will be a time where you'll be glad to be able to play deus ex 3000 instead of "Moorhuhnjagd 30" or "Deer Hunter 2000" or ... I don't know all the trash gamez in america, but europe is covered under an avalanche of this fuck.
just try to support spector in any way ... and we'll all make profit of it.

I have got no motherf..cking (MF????) problem with Deus Ex as you put it so tastefully in your post Santaclaws. I wrote that it is a very good game but you are playing with my feelings. Just kidding. I have however a problem with people that are always complaining about controls amd menues. They are to complicated or it takes to much time to master them. Stop crying. If you want simple gameplay with hardly no learningcurve go buy a shooter like Unreal or something similar. I am not really Einstein but both Shock games were easy to master. Dedication and reading the manual helps a lot. Now go and sign the Shock 3 petition Santaclaws!!
