I just finished the FM and ... WOW ! What a mission ! :D
It is very very great !
Lot of places to explore, lot of secrets and the story is really fascinating.
Thank you Timon! Thank you for this fantastic fm.
I love your style :thumb:

Finally able to finish with all the secrets. Not great on loot, but then, my trademark is to be rotten on loot -- so I'm in the black!
What should I play next? Say... I hear that Elevator Mission is a nice, easy, relaxing one....

Gah finally I finished that fm ! All the secrets found, and 500 loot missing or something like that. But what a nightmare !
The story and the atmosphere are very interesting, maybe it could have been a little scarier but it's still very nice :thumb:. I'm a little disapointed by the architecture, I think there are less details than in FF1. But at least it allows a bigger map and an interesting one btw :thumb: All those secret passageways, wow...
First I tried to ghost all the haunts, but an hour later I was fed up by the tile floors and went crazy : guess I'm better at hunting haunts :cheeky:
Then, it all went wrong : I turned around the whole monastery during at least 1 hour, trying to find the key to that librairy. I found the three orbs or whatever it's called, and got the burning scroll, but I didn't see the floating key in the smoke ! I found it waaay later, when I was going to give up. I was mad...
Then, I searched for the entrance to the vault during 30 minutes, looking for a frobbable book. Had to go in DromEd and discover that switch...
And another 30 minutes to understand how to get the shield.
I found all the secrets, but I didn't even find the key to the pharmacy ! And when I finished I still had two yellow keys which I couldn't use anywhere.
And on top of that, a lot of sound bugs (due to the rooms), so I got caught several times by the haunts because I didn't heard them see and rush on me in the corridors...
So the mission is very well built, I first enjoyed walking in the monastery and all, but then I encountered all these troubles : interesting mission but unfortunately I disliked it :(
Now I need to kill someone...

Didn't you visit the
office to get the key for some moss arrows?
. The tile floors drove me nuts but then
I killed all the haunts, what the heck, I got sick of being quiet!

Great mission Timon. Well worth the wait although I had to replay part 1 to remind myself of the story. :)
I think I know why the monastery got wiped out. I never seen so many eyeglasses used in a mission! The Sword Brothers must have been at a serious visual disadvantage when the Hammers came.

The shield is the only thing I need to finish. I found the sepulchre with the four post and some sort of force field on it. Is this where the shiled is and how do I get it.
Somewhere in the aera, there is some kind of a little maze with green mushrooms, with some orange potions in it. Use these potions on the four post. The fact there is no name on the potion was quite confusing, I first thought it was a custom tool to create light :cheeky:
Where is the sword and shield of Metelon? I hope it isn't in the treasury room area, downstairs from the noxious blue smoke of Saint Nicholas Scallopshell. I went through the maze down those steps once, then somehow triggered a gas, which didn't kill me, but now refuses to go away. I can't get back there to see if I missed anything.
Also, haven't triggered the "info about the mysterious massacre" yet. No doubt it's a book I haven't come across.

Clock - Yes, they are in the Treasury. The noxious gas you triggered (which should have killed you, by the way. It did me in!) was on a couple of the doors on the way out, not on anything in the Treasury itself. The sword is hanging on a wall, right out in the open. The Shield is in a side room that you have to open with a little switch. It's beside a pedestal with a book that refers to JFK sitting on it.
I'm not sure but I think the book that fulfills the objective about the massacre is in the big empty wine barrel in the wine cellar. There are two ways in, both secret entrances. Look for a switch in the fireplace of the sitting room outside the Abbot's quarters or a tiny switch near the wine barrel.
DrK, the vials are labeled in my version. They are called the "Mists of Oblivion", I think.
