That did it ! I should be ashamed for not seeing the sword though. I couldn't figure out the shield until I read the posts above as well.
And I somehow missed the book in the wine cellar.
A triple pox on me.
Did you get the "curiousity is a thief's virtue" bonus objective ??
Nightwalker on 14/2/2006 at 05:10
Yup! Also the other bonus objective. I loved exploring all the nooks and crannies in this mission. I just wonder how many OTHER secret passageways I didn't find. :cheeky:
The statue is a lock which is opened with the Treasury Key
As far as accessing the throne room from the hallway, I never did find a key for those double doors.
I think the Pharmacy Key is located in the room across, but I don't remember where the key to open that door is.
Hi Clock, thanks for your reply
any hints on the Treasury Key is?
Clock on 14/2/2006 at 08:13
You have to :
1. Find and read the Librarian's Note
2. Read a book on the upper floor of the smaller library
3. Frob a lever that is now exposed behind a greenish statue that you pass on the landing of the steps up to the second floor of that same library.
4. Retrieve a scroll and Treasury Key from a painting that swings open on that same stair.
This apparently must be done in that order.
Nightwalker on 14/2/2006 at 13:27
ShadowWolf, the pharmacy key is found
in the Brother Apothecary's bedroom. There's a frobbable torch that opens a secret room. I found the (

I never found a key for those double doors either. There's a
secret door behind one of the banners in the throne room, though.

DrK,
the vials are labeled in my version. They are called the "Mists of Oblivion", I think. WTF ?
In my version, several objects, in general scrolls or keys, don't have any name. Okaaay, now I understand why that fm was a nightmare with me...
I guess there are some problems with the translated version of the fm and my french version of the game. That's the first time this happens anyway, I never had such problems. Or maybe with FF1, but don't remember having such troubles :p

Wonderful, brilliant, superb, creepy mission, Timon!
Thank you very much for many hours of play-fun (and gooseflesh :wot: )... :D

Man this place is huge. So glad I decided to indulge in some bladework first time through instead of ghosting.
Playing expert, and I must be missing a key...
I have the Treasury key from the small library and I turned the angel to get into one of several secret rooms. This one has a locked gate and a ladder going up. However, I don't seem to have the key that opens the gate. I read somewhere that it was in the small library area, but I didn't find it. Where is it? Don't be coy.
