Yes, many thanks bukary. :thumb:
I think I'll go ahead and play the FM now, as this could fill in a lot of the gaps.

well, i have started dabbling around in this one...and it looks fantastic...just the kind a like! but, i truly haven't much of a clue about what is going on. i think i have truly been humbled as non-english speakers play these fm's all of the time and do not give up! Bukary's post is a little helpful, but a good translation of stuff would work so much better for me! and, well, it is all about me isn't it?:cheeky:

Today I'll try to post few useful hints and advices. Especially about the location of the most important items and about their meaning. Remember, this mission is HUGE!
BTW, a question: I still have no idea when I should use "a" and when "the". Can you explain it to me clearly? :)

This link might help (

It depends on whether you are being specific. On a daily basis, I say 'I'm going to the bank' and everyone knows I mean NatWest. If I said I'm going to a bank' I could be going to any one of four different ones in our town.
'Find
the horn of Quintus' would mean there was only one to find. 'Find
a horn of Quintus' would mean there were several and I could just find one.
Is that what you're after?

Bukary,
I now have the three orbs. I am playing on Expert and I think Timon has hidden them in a different place on Expert compared to what you explained in the list of objectives translated into English. Here are the places where I found them : one behind a panel in the booksheves in a room, in the small library and the other at the end of a secret passage in a room in an EXCELLENTLY WELL HIDDEN PLACE let me say ! and there's something else : in the Sala Posiedzen (Council room ?) where the benches are placed in a circular way there's a white and blue banner on the wall which I cannot slash with my sword. I know there's a room behind it through holes in the tapestry. Now, is this normal ? Do I have to fullfill an objective before ? Thank you for your help. I have set myself the task of completing the mission in Polish, at all costs
Now I've just understood why I can't do it it's all right !
I'm having a great time believe me !:thumb:

http://img58.imageshack.us/img58/9929/monasterymap8na.jpgIII) Hints (Expert):OBJECTIVES:
1) What was third abbot's secret?
You need to read the forbbidden part of Order's history and find out about the rise of the new god called Builder and the fall of the previous god - Metelon. It can be found in
the library.2) Time to go home. Get out of the monastery undergrounds after you've done everything else.
You need to search for the exit in
the dining room.
3) Find out more about the mysterious massacre.
You need to find brother Konrad's notebook. It is hidden in
the vineyard. To meet brother Konrad, check
the fireplace located next to the Abbot Quarters.4) Find the secret principle.
You need to
get to the mines and swim a little. Don't forget to
take all the orbs with you! Need to find an alternative entrance to the mine? Search
in the workshop (machinery area).5) Find some entrance to the library.
The library can be entered from
the Council Room. The
angel will help you. But you need to do some other things first. Search
the Warden Quarters. He's got some nice library. And some nice statues there. Don't forget do visit
the mines and take a bath there. 6) Find the Sword of Metelon.
It is in
the vault.7) Find the Shield of Metelon.
It is in
the vault. But you have to visit
the Pharmacy first. Who's got
the Pharmacy Key? It's obvious.
8) A ghost in the mine? There's never enough ghosts in one place? Find out if it exists.
Search
the mine. And
touch everything.
9) Find loot hidden by kleptomaniac.
Brother Edmund knows something about
Adam the Kleptomaniac. He was even spying on him (their rooms are connected). He knew that
Adam was hiding his loot in the workshop. Need
Adam's Key? Search
Monks Quarters.15) You're a Master Thief!
Even the dead body cannot hide away from you. (Bonus)
The
body is in the sewers.16) Curiosity is thief's virtue. (Bonus)
You need to
pick all orbs up after you've used them.
17) Find Gustavus' astronomical charts and make them yours. (Optional)
The charts are in
the library. Under the table.IV) Remember: there are LOTS of secret places and corridors here. Monks Quarters are connected to
the Vineyard. There are few entrances to the library, mines etc. The vault entrance is hidden in
the library. In order to open the Armory, check
the Armory Office.

I'm having trouble finding out how to get into the mine. I read in one post you find something in the machine room. Is that the room with a patroling haunt where the lockers are? If so i can't see anything.
Help!
