I agree with Subjective. TTLG has a great mix of "characters", all of whom I have enjoyed over the years.
I am not a drinker in the usual use of the term but do have a shot now and then. My likker of choice is Jack Daniels Black label. I am also partial to a good Tequila.
Straight, no mixes, no ice. But I stop when I can no longer taste it, which is my sole reason for drinking it in the first place. Then, I switch to coffee, sit in the corner and watch the macho drinkers amuse the crowd!

I do appreciate all the different personalities here, and you realize how much like home it feels like here when you start posting on a new board and it seems like someone dropped you in the middle of a foreign country with no money or passport. Given that though, sometimes I feel like I should know people here better considering I've been a regular for 13 years! My fault I guess... Maybe not enough time in CommChat.
Anyway, I don't drink to get drunk, but I'm somewhat of a beer aficionado (and home brewer). There are so many great styles and so little time to try them all out. And well, if I get a little loopy in the process of attempting to do so, so be it.

Despite the fact that I more often than not put my foot in my mouth, I like the place. It's a testament to the quality of the games that started it that the forum has lasted so long.
I'm more of a wine man myself, although I did fall in love with Mead recently. The only meadery nearby my makes garbage though, I have to order from freakin' Montana to get a good bottle. Perversely enough, it's cheaper. And got delivered in about the same time.

I don't use chat very often, but I'm always amused by the differences in tone between posting here and chatting. Running into dethtoll in Minecraft, for example, resulted in a surprisingly pleasant conversation. We traded innuendos about our history of disagreement on the forums but laughed it off and got along well (I don't know if he remembers this or not). I suspect that most of us would probably be enjoyable drinks companions, if only for the fact that it's much harder to be an ass in person than on this board. That and what Subjeff said, no real loonies aside from Oddity, etc.
