I was going through some of my really old backup CDs and checking what was in them, when I found "T2shots.zip". It turns out that as a kid I actually saved all the pre-release screenshots I could find, and stored them in a zip file. I guess I just couldn't wait for the game, like many of the old taffers here. :) Some of them are more recent, official promotion screenshots, but others are from an unfinished beta build, long before the game was released. Makes for interesting examination...
Examples of anomalies I found:
-On #3 The fog in "Life of the Party" actually works unlike in the finished game.
-On #4 The bank guards are still generic Thief 1 models.
-On picture #6 there's a mace-wielding mechanist in the lighthouse.
-On #8 Truart's mansion is incomplete and instead of the City Watch, there are normal guards. Also, the player has 0 health for some reason.
-On #9 Garrett wields "Constantine's Sword" which for some reason was removed in the final release. Also, the light mapping seems to be all placeholders. Look at how crappy those window lights are.
-On #11 We have a mechanist with a sword.
-On #12 Garrett has a regular sword again.
-On #13 The polycount-reducing walls do not exist in the street in front of Truart's mansion. I'm guessing the game was not yet optimized to work on low-performance machines.
-On #15 There's a whole area with Watch guards that I can't recognize at all.
-On #20 The wall between the main gate and the courtyard in Shoalsgate doesn't exist. (Presumably because of polycount reasons again.)
-On #23 There's fog in Shoalsgate.
-On #26 There is a mechanist worker Bot in Cid Capezza's workshop, with full brass body with no blue decorations.
-On #27 The obvious polycount-reducing walls that split Markham's Isle into two are missing. There's also a weird metal grate door frame looking thingy in the middle of the lighthouse yard.
-On #28 It's snowing on Markham's Isle.
-On #30 Sheriff Truart is alive and well. :)
-On #31 There's a strange door above the City Watch training room. In the final version there's a secret tunnel.
-On #32 The female civilian models have not yet been updated.

#25 appears to be behind the Truart estate in blackmail, but it has a hedge maze.
Might explain why the area around the estate seems so boring, they removed the maze. Pity.
