i got a modplayer at modplug.com that plays umx files (the music files in deus ex). they are just tracker modules. get modtracker and you can watch em go thru, pull em apart, extract the instruments that make them up, can be amusing. incidentally this also works for unreal and unreal tormemant. if you want to extract sounds from games like undying that has uax you can get a tiny little exe on fileplanet (in the audio section of aliens vs predator off memory) called ripley which was created originally to extract sounds from aliens vs predator from the ffm(?) files but it works on games with uax files in other games, also unreal. strips them straight out of the files and saves them as sn01.wav sno2.wav etc etc. ripley also conmes with riptex that extracts game texture files also.
point being with modplug you can save them deus ex umx files as mp3s or wavs. <img src="cool.gif" border="0">
