I'd pick out Far Cry in particular from the ones on GoG. Also, the original Halo - if you can get it - was damn good IMO.

UT2K4's a good one for offline play; the bots are quite good, and there are like a dozen different gametypes across a few dozen maps. Lot of game there. I believe you can also get that one on GoG.

It's "GOG" you ninnyhammers. The O stands for "Old", not "of" or "or".

Reminded me of this: (

(In truth, I am as bad if not worse when it comes to correcting trivial shit)

What that second version of the future doesn't show is that the plane is about to crash because it's assembled, maintained, and operated by people with no regard for detail.

ZB can be a real pedant sometimes faetal but on this he is so right it hurt's.
Chimpy Chompy on 5/11/2012 at 17:55
Have to side with ZB on principle because I hate xkcd.
[edit]I don't think gog stands for anything these days? Since they started adding modern games. I've not seen Good Old Games written anywhere, just GOG or gog. But not GoG, mind you.

I wasn't disagreeing with him, was just having a playful dig at pedantry in general including my own (I'm really quite bad).
[EDIT] The point about attention to detail is a good one, though you'd kind of hope planes are made by people with attention to relevant, rather than all detail.

The "O" doesn't stand for anything. It's not an acronym anymore, it's just gog.

Yeah actually that's true.

Also true. It's graphically stylized as "gog", but everywhere on the site that it's written as text, it's still "GOG".
