It is a bundle @ Gamersgate, you receive both Apple and PC versions together for ~ 11 pounds.

I pre-ordered Amnesia when I picked up the Penumbra collection from them in the wake of the Humble Indie Bundle. I suspect I'll play this before I play Penumbra, so hopefully the earlier games won't suffer
too much by comparison.
Also: News item about making the game's music, and in-game commentary:

Demo's out!

Torrent took me just under a minute to download. :thumb: Going to wait until sundown before I play, of course.

'Bout time I say.... Was wondering if there was ever gonna be a demo. Thanks for the heads up DN!

Haha, this is awesome. Slow start, didn't like the motion blur at first and your character's sudden gasps of terror, but it slowly settles in. And then... I've not been frightened out of my wits like this since the chase scene in Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth.
And that's a reasonable point of comparison: looks like everything from the Lovecraft influences to the sanity effects have been taken from DCotE and dialled up a notch, which is no bad thing.
Bonus points for having laudanum restore your health (heh), and the 'ammo scrounging' mechanic of tinderboxes and lantern oil, given that you have no weapons. Very survival horror-y. Looking forward to this if they can keep the mechanics fresh and psychologically eerie through the length of the game.

I feel like a fool, but... how do you open the first door you come upon that's locked? It seems I've clicked pretty much everywhere, tossed chairs into it, looked for levers etc.
As to the game, it runs great on my older comp on my monitors native resolution. 1280 X 1024 everything on high. Graphics don't seem much better than Penumbra to me, (although I haven't gotten very far) but I didn't expect any real eye candy. Nice vibe to the game as well.
I agree with Sulphur. Very reminiscent of DCotE and that's a good thing!

Here's a hint: look for a stack of little crates near it; they're pretty easy to miss in the dark, so don't worry about it too much. I ran around for a bit there m'self.

Plays like a mix between Penumbra and Call of Cthulhu, I will enjoy this tremendously if it manages to keep the oppressing atmosphere of a looming, unknown menace without resorting to the utter silliness of the late Penumbra games.
Pre-ordered months ago and feeling like I won't regret it.
