Well, I've been taking my sweet time a little too long. I've finally ordered a copy of Deus Ex (the first one) off Ebay. Once I got my hands on the demo I fell in love with it, there's something rather funny about blowing my legs off with TNT that I haven't quite put my finger on yet. :) I tried to hurl some dynamite at that damned robot by the river in the training mission and I wasn't crouching. I was slithering across the floor the rest of the mission. :laff: Pretty sad when you're hooked on the game by the training mission. I just finished the main mission, definitely had fun with it. :D
So, I just thought I'd warn you guys. I can't wait to get the whole game, more people to kill. :ebil: Well, it's off to replay the demo for me. :)

Lucky you! Able to see everything for the first time. Wish I could turn back the clock...

Bah, I could have grabbed you a copy for under/at 10 USD! :P

I see EBGames.com has Deus Ex for ten dollars plus shipping. Unfortunately, I don't have a credit card or anything I could use to pay so I'll have to bug my parents to order it.
Unless someone can find me a site where I could buy System Shock 1 or 2 cheap... :cheeky:

Do yourself a favor: Don't use walkthroughs. Don't learn anything about the game before you play it. I ruined my first run-through, and I still regret it to this day.

I noticed a couple copies of SS1 up for sale on Amazon; not cheap though.....Gogamer has Deus Ex in a 4-Play pack for $9.90, Thief 2, Commandos 2 and a Tomb Raider also included. (DX is goty edition)
:)

I just got SShock 1 & 2 off eBay. SS 1 was £10 ($15-$20), SS 2 was £20 ($30-40).
And personally I'd recommend against EBGames. I heard they were shipping pirate copies of DX.

Yeah, and don't let anyone spoil the game for you. I would stop visiting any DX-related forums if I were in your place. ;)

Yes, don't spoil it.
The only true "Know-nothing-about-the-game" experience I ever had was Fallout I. I bought the thing because, in my 10/12(?) year old mind, the screenshots reminded me of LBA, which I had greatly enjoyed. Something to do with the perspective.
Anyhow, it surprised me, and I loved it.

Did you make sure to get the GOTY edition? It's supposed to be a bit more polished than the initial retail release.
