Is there a simple way to remedy this problem other than decreasing the pick on the door? It'd be kind of weird to have only one door out of my entire mission in which Garrett was required to be standing closer to it in order to open it. Problem is, if I don't do this then Garrett can frob the door while it's open from the other side of a window. No player would probably ever do this, but you never know.

Did you try "Block Frob?" (properties->Inventory) on the window? Or is the window no object?

As Notesthes mentioned, Inventory > Block frob will solve this. It's a new feature in NewDark and one of the most useful little additions IMO.
