Anyway yeah, videos don't do the shiny strategy parts justice, presumably because it would be boring to watch someone carefully tweak the waypoints until they don't get shot. For one, you can plot the actions of your opponent as well as your own, then simulate how you'll fare if your opponent actually does that.

i found my beta partner and had a few hillarious matches in the "total dark" and "vis on sight only" environment where we chased each other across the map for 10 turns without ever meeting and then on the 11th we ALL went down in one glorious leone-worthy shootdown.
fun comes then from watching the replays where you can actualy see what the enemy did.
And I agree, plotting, tweaking and "predicting" is the best part in the game. only frustrating thing sofar: I ALWAYS loose. it's scientific fact and the leaderboard reflects this ;(
but I don't care, I support the lemmings strategy. go down in style but go down nonetheless.

game is out on steam for a few days already, the UI has changed since beta, there is an over 50 mission singleplayer complete with story now and the soundtrack is as awesome as ever.

beta customers can register on steam (which I did) and your beta invite gets his game for free. steam/mode7 sell 2packs only. I can really recommend this game. It is a nice idea, highly stylized graphics and a simple but effective interface with integrated irc chat and a replay function.
The serverlogin is already getting slower so I hope they have high sales :)
