Yeah, Katamari is not the type of game that should be taken too seriously. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the quirky visuals, awesome tunes and the pure delight of rolling.

I still play Settlers 2, and enjoy a nice relaxing game on that as the only player on a randomly-generated world. No worries about invading armies or anything, just nice gentle economy management.
Playing Oolite too as a trader and avoiding combat is also a nice relaxing time when listening to some soft jazz :)
