I've posted this in the Thief 4 forum, letting them know. I did receive a response. A pretty generic response.

Be careful with this guys. Last summer I was contacted by a guy claimed to be with EM, recruiting for T4, due to my involvement with T2X. His name was "Dan Maxington." I returned his e-mail asking for more info and he even went so far as to schedule a phone conference. I spoke with him at length about T4, relocating to Montreal, etc. He was very interested in locating other T2X devs as well, Wynne in particular (which was my first tip off that something was wrong).
Before I went any further, I re-traced his phone number - Santa Barbara, CA. Turns out he wasn't involved with EM at all - just some stupid kid goofing around. I called EM to let them know what was going on and they apparently had the local police issue a cease and desist, but with a psycho like that, you never know where they'll pop up again. In a real sick twist, he was PMing me on the ttlg forums under a different name, trying to get me to talk about T4 and how cool it would be if EM recruiting T2X people to work on it. :erm: :nono:

This guy has responded twice to my emails, its not going much of anywhere. Who knows about them, and who they are really affiliated with.

We were in quite an uproar here for a few days debating whether or not we could move to Canada, etc. This guy was quoting me payscale, benefits, etc. It really pissed me off at the time. I considered tracking him down and showing up at his high-school prom to publicly confess my flaming gay love for him, despite his many venereal diseases and penchant for copulating with cats. My wife and Duncan talked me out of it. :erg:
What really worried me is that on the forums, he kept digging around for information about the physical addresses for some of the T2X team. He was banned but he may be reading this right now for all I know...

lol fett, you do have a way with words. I'm glad nothing bad happened other than a few ruffled feathers. That is weird though.
I'm not worried about this, I haven't heard anything else.
