Not really, it's still a very bad precedent, whether or not the game is a throwaway bore.
It seems like it might affect unlockables too? If so, that's more of an issue than just a needless highscore.
Anyway i just wonder how long it will be before the influx of "huurrr stop complaining, shut up and you should just eat it up and it's no big deal" kind of capitalism gone mad apologists that we get around here. Anti consumer actions are seen as a positive step.

Are you fucking kidding me? Do you really think that's what we do around here? My god, you're even more clueless and insane than I thought.
You need to get on the train to Shut Up Town and never come back.

This is a good move by Capcom. I fully support this. Don't like it? GET A JOB AND STOP BEING A PARASITE

Is this BS cracked yet?

It's more about how incredibly easy it is to implement a clean save feature.
People speculate "oh no, it might be hardware thing", no it's not, if you can set one bit to 1, then 0, and then 1, then you can set it back to 0 again.
Not to mention that it wouldn't even have to have any save-memory on the 3ds cart at all, the 3ds has an additional save-system that works by saving to the 3d's own flash memory.
As much as I am against gamestop, capcom are dicks for doing this since they are punishing the owners of the game.
dexterward on 29/6/2011 at 11:49
Gamestop in itself, perhaps has grown too big and has some crazy bullying tactics. But 2nd hand gaming market is as viable as any other 2nd hand market (although I realize any debate on the subject is a dead end).
So they can`t stop the pirates - instead let`s stick it to some guys who actually try and buy the game legally (see Ms Rand, they have a job, problem is the wages are of a slave kind).
~80 % of games I buy are second hand - be it Cex, Amazon, charity shop or whatever. I wish I could support the devs more, but it`s not possible. One solution could be some sort of tax on resellers - similar to one in music industry - where some fraction of price goes to the publisher. I wouldn`t mind/could afford paying a quid or two more on already low price.
So now we have some multiplayer codes or DLC missing if you buy a used game. While still a dick move, I don`t mind it as much - I`m strictly a single-player playah, and if I wanted the other things I`d pay this few coins more. But this might lead to further DLCisation of games...which sucks big time.

All you do is look for points to score in every topic and perhaps now and again involve yourself in circle-jerks with like minded individuals. It gets rather boring.
Considering when this has come up before, a fair few people basically told anyone who would like to buy a game and then sell it later or buy used that they should have no right to do that and that it is the game companies right to take it away and to stop being so self-entitled.
Of course i overemphasise but hey i have to make sure you bite, reactionary bigot that you are.
It is amusing that people that like earthworm jim disgust you because of it's gay hating creator (whether or not they were aware of him) and yet on the other hand you have called a lot of people fags as an insult in the past.

Your tendency to overly generalise and massage your ego while consequently missing the point isn't cute in the slightest, so why don't you actually say something constructive for a start, or do you want to wallow in your on/off passive-aggressive banality forever?
inselaffe on 29/6/2011 at 17:09
Ah the cavalry has arrived.
Someone needs to look up the definition of passive-aggressive. I know it's one of the classic go-to insults around here but it's not always applicable. As is the missing the point quip.
Just because people don't fit in with the "cool kids" view of the world around here, let the putridity fly!
I do say constructive things, i actually try to post about the subject in question or help people out with problems they are having if i know the answer.
There also no point in posting half the time when the majority of the forum is made up of scoring points off of people and getting on bandwagons against other members. It just becomes tiresome, boring and if anything, pathetic.
So maybe sulphur, you should take a look in the mirror before you say certain things.
I fully expect this to now be parodied and made light of but clearly a lot of people have been leaving in recent years as they are fed up with how it's gotten in that regard. People just get bored of it.
