Have you ever done something ridiculusly funny in Thief 1 & 2? something that might have killed you, made the level easier, or just something comical in a chase? You can tell your funny Thief moments here!
One of my funny thief moments, was in the level, "Undercover". I really liked the mission, but didn't like it that you weren't allowed to do anything! so I locked myself in the room with the 3 pedistals and the bell, and killed the one guard in there. After 10 minutes, i had the whole temple running after me! so i bolted out the door. When i turned around, i had about 20 guys chasing me, so i wheeled around and went back into the temple, pulling the lever for the gate as i ran. After a while, i din't see any guards, so I went to the front gate, and the guards were locked out! I finished the mission with ease, but then restarted it and played it like it was supposed to be played.

I have already posted my favorite amusement so far elsewhere, but I suppose I can repeat it.
In TDS, I was robbing the Inn at stonemarket plaza for the umpteenth time, and I got bored with playing mind games with the guards. So I went outside, and got one of the statues (I was on the last day) to chase me into the inn, and then I hid behind the bar, and taunted it. It stomped around, knocking over chairs, and barrels, and I got the "Did, I just see...?" "Hell's bells!", etc from the guards upstairs. And when they came downstairs to check, and saw it they said:"What the... I QUIT!" and "Don't look back, just keep running!" as they both ran for the door with it right on their heels.

I'm always trying to lock guards somewhere, and here you do it and restart! :tsktsk: hehe
I tried playing an FM without patching or something once, forget exactly. All I remember was I could pick up the guards while they were attacking me and carry them around. The archers can still shoot you while you carry them lol. Then you put them down and they chase you by laying on their side and spinning around while slowly moving in your direction.

I believe the funniest thing in the game, was in Thief2 while on the rooftops heading for angelwatch.... the 4 archers arguing and then commencing to killing each other.
I actually saved the point right before that just so I can go back and get a good laugh :laff: :laff: :laff:
Other than that, I am usually laughing at myself for falling off my chair when I get startled by a guard. I can't even count how many times that has happened to me.

In the unpatched T3 there was three citizens around a guard. So I alerted the guard and the pulled his sword and killing all three of em in one fell swoop. Then he blames me!

My funniest Thief moment ever was booting up Thief III for the first time.
Either that or some cool Thief: The Dark Project stuff.
