(This requires a little setup, stick with me)
I had just gotten a fabulous new chair from Intensor. Intensor chairs have speakers built into them for surround sound plus a subwoofer that fires directly against your back, so when something whacks you, you feel it.
Anyway, I was in "The Haunted Cathedral", and had retreated to a Safe Spot where I could observe the movements of the zombies. Well, it turned out not to be so safe, because, somehow, a zombie came up behind me, completely unnoticed, and whacked me. He went "Urrrrrhhnh...[WHACK]". I went "YAAAAAH! [thud]" as I launched myself backward, flipping my chair over. I just laid there for a few minutes until I could breathe again.

Yes, the combination of spiders, guards and pirates in S & R is just a great recipe for hilarity. I like releasing as many spiders into the yard as possible, including the giant one, then firing some noisemakers to stir things up.

One of my funniest moments was in TDS, when Gamall and the statues were in the streets. I was at Stonemarket Proper . First, I fired noisemaker arrow to that gate that leads to Old Quarter. Gamall went running there and killed some guard. Then 2 another City Watch guards came there and saw the body next to Gamall, they shouted : "What the! He's been murdered!" and "There you are you taffer!"
Guards attacked Gamall and as I supposed, Gamall killed 'em. Then Gamall saw me and started chasing me. I ran and tried to stop it with mines, oil bottles, gas bombs etc. I managed to escape and when I got back Gamall was lying on the ground! I thought like: "What the taff?!" And I found out that she had fallen and gone unconscious because of those oil puddles! :laff:
My second funniest moment was also in TDS, and with Gamall but at the docks.
My friend was playing, Gamall was between box and water and I told him: "Hey, push that box and drown Gamall!" My friend replied: "Okay, good idea!"
And it worked! LOL!!! :laff: :laff:
Gamall can't die of course, but she dropped into the water and kept doing that "dying" (i mean turning invisible and immobile) under the water!
Damn, those were funny!

I have to get myself one of those...
The "whack" they make is already loud enough even with my quad speaker setup :wot:

PWNED!! All her show of strength and invincibility during the cutscenes and she's thwarted by an oil puddle...
Or pushed into the water by a box.
Man I didn't even know what happens when she "dies", I just stayed the hell away from her.

I would also like to include the "saddest" thief moment in this thread....
I was moving some stuff in my office and stepped on my pile of jewel cases... The only disc to break was my THEIF: The dark project CD...
 Rest quietly Garrett.. We shall be reunited as soon as I get a replacement from Amazon.com ..
I have had that disc since 1999...
I have never tried this, but is there a way I can play the FMs without the Disc until I get a replacement??

Domarius I think the company that made my chair went out of business a few years ago.:( Might be worth checking ebay, and I think there's a couple of other outfits that make something similar.

Actually the funniest Thief moment I've ever had was listening to some voice lines that someone else did for Schwaa. I had coffee running out of my nose I was laughing so hard.:eww:

Ah, yes. That reminds me. The funniest conversation I remember in Thief was a conversation about the weather (meteorology) between a guard named Bill and our friend Benny in Asylum's Heist Society. One line in the conversation was: "I said atmosphere, you Taffer, not utmost fear.":laff: Did you do that one, Sly? :)
It is worth loading up the mission just for that. You can hear it as you first enter the main entry hall from the indoor garden, about 5 minutes into the mission. You must remain unseen, or it is disrupted.
