So was the comic about guards slipping on water true or was that just a joke? I do recall watching a youtube video from deadly shadows where some guards slipped on some kind of oil that garrett dropped. Looked f-ing hilarious.

Well, it easily could have been a parody comic, one that was not accurate at all. But I see that it was accurate, at least partly. Also, in thief 2 garrett had a green eye.
