Valve has been pimping the sniper update for a few days now. But there was something wrong with it.

Got it through the amazing Orange Box deal, but good as it is, Valve's untouchable polish and all, it still couldn't wean me off Quake Live for my online jollies.
The thing is, the games of TF2 I played rarely felt any more co-ordinated than Quake Live, and if I'm gonna play team deathmatch I'd rather do it in Quake.
I suppose you can't hope for much else with a bunch of random people on a bunch of random servers.

This announcement actually had me booting up TF2 for the first time in months last night to get some sniper practice in. Nothing like headshotting a scout at the peak of their double jump. And then doing it three more times to the exact same scout.

Try watching a demoman fuck up a stickybomb jump across 2fort's middle part so that instead of going across, he goes straight up, and doing this repeatedly so a pyro friend starts timing him and hits him with a flaregun as he detonates, then you finish him off with the revolver, and after doing this seven times in a row demoman screams fucking hackers and leaves.
