2005 != recent, compared to UT3 from 2007 and Quake Wars is a spin-off, not a sequel.

Quake Wars is closer to Enemy Territory (with a little bit of Battlefield) than the main series. Last real straight-up deathmatch game we had was Quake 4's multiplayer. And who played Q4 for the multiplayer?

That's my point. Quake used to be all about the multiplayer. And QW came and went w/nary a notice.
