I don't think I ever played Quake multi until like, 99 or 2000. And that was just because everyone at the office kept hounding me to do TF with them.

I must play this game.

Hah, EA would never offer up such a creative reply. Pretty cool they actually read and appreciate their mail.

Valve need to make an old-school 'ego-shooter', ala Duke, with Saxton Hale as the protagonist.

I'd play it.

It's either that, or they bring back VIP mode with Mr. Hale as the VIP.

This update is proving MUCH more interesting then the last couple.
Since there are two classes, there's not a flood of a single class. Instead, there is a flood of three. Snipers, Spies and pyros. The first two for obvious reasons - the third is more interesting. With lots of spies around, pyros are in demand, and since their hard counter, the heavy, is pretty much fucked due to all the spies and snipers, they've got more or less free reign.
Not only that, but they overhauled the weapon unlock system. Achievements don't mean shit anymore, nor does the class you happen to be playing. You just randomly get new weapons in whatever class it feels like.
