I can't find any obvious reason to be wary of this site, and although I'm sure they feature plenty of not-so-great games, I thought a thread where people could point out the real gems would be useful.
Today it's "Immortal Defense" which (
http://www.gametunnel.com/articles.php?id=657) GameTunnel rates highly.

This is a pretty cute platformer. They provided the sequel a few days earlier, which I've played enough of to figure that this is worth pointing out. Gameplay is very straightforward / typical, but it has good production values.

Turtle Odyssey is indeed a cute, decent game.
For something totally different:
Todays free offering is "Operation Victory": A turn-based, isometic view WWII strategy game. The short bit I played up to now, proves it to be a decent catch as well. It features some light historical info to boot.

Space Interceptor looks fairly swish for a freebie. It's also a biggie, so broadband would be needed.

Contrary to its title (
http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/) game.giveawayoftheday.com has stopped giving away a game each day. It now only gives away a game every Saturday and Sunday.
Though I haven't played much of today's title yet, its production values seem to be a bit higher than the average giveaway (the userrating supports that: 80% approves).. (
http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/kingmania/) Kingmania, a quirky 3d RTS.

This is a shmup with fabulous production values, so makes for a lovely freebie. It is absolutely the easiest shmup I have ever played, however: once you have upgraded a few levels, it is almost literally a case of 'press fire to win' (you might die, but extra life count aside that carries no penalty).
I played on the default medium difficulty, and more or less didn't have to think or, even move for the most part, for the latter two thirds of the game (by the time you have auto-targetting guns, a decent energy recharge rate, and droids which protect and repair you, you really can just sit still firing your guns and occasionally fire off a big missile at one of the tough guys).
So make sure you play on the hardest difficulty setting, if you are looking for anything remotely like a challenge :)

They have started recycling previously available titles and (
http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/little-turtle-odyssey-2/) today's giveaway is the aforementioned Turtle Odyssey 2.
Still the same cute 2D platformer, nothing overly fancy, but fun for you and/or your kids.

Todays giveaway is a classic style top down racing game. Well worth the download.
