Do games from this site continue to work after the "day" is up? Or is that only to activate them? I have it installed and activated with about an 1hr left, but I'm not ready to dive into it just yet. Failing that I'll have to get the demo to try it as it does look like something I would enjoy.

You should be fine to play, then.
Although with this particular one, there was a serial key to enter as well, and it's not impossible that you needed to run the game once and enter the serial key within the time limit (I think it checked it online, but as that's not GGOTD's servers, there might not be a limit on it).
Normally, so long as you run the set-up file and let GGOTD do its own activation before the time is up, the games are yours to play as much as you want until you reinstall windows.
If you could only play the games during the original 24 hour period, I would never have started this thread. I'm the sort of person who buys games, and then plays them three years later, so a one day time limit wouldn't suit me terribly well :)

Yeah, I had to run it once after installation and supply the key so all should hopefully be good. I'll try and check it out soon. Thanks for the heads up. :D

The game has to be activated within that 24 hour period. The installers refuse to install once time is up.

Which means you better play the game as much as you ever want before you reformat/reinstall/get a new HD or PC. Or pay for the game, of course.

Yeah, I didn't see this topic and thus didn't realize I had to activate the software the same day it came out...now I can't play it:(
