My XBox game pass runs out in mid-September, and it's 12€/per month after that, so no thanks.
Currently playing Unavowed on it and trying to wrap it up before the deadline. It's a really good and forward-thinking adventure game. You can select the player character and his/her background, which affects gameplay opportunities, and also there's a heavy feeling of your choices having consequences. I like it.

Same. Just in time for two days of Gears 5, even. Gears 4 was like if the dudes who made Bulletstorm* took notes from Uncharted's set-piece hijinx and tried them on for size, which was probably exactly what happened. The end result was fun if unmemorable. Fun enough that I wanna subscribe an extra month for Gears 5? Sure. We'll see.
RE: Unavowed - it's a good enough ol' time. I liked it even if I think it pulled its punches too much in the end. Deffo worth seeing through, though!
*some further research later, it turns out that this is incorrect, and Gears 4 was made by the guys who made Microsoft Flight. Um. Well, okay then. Gears 4 turned out pretty well anyway!

Oh my, I see the new Blair Witch game is on Game Pass now. Downloading, hope this'll be good and I can finish it in 2 weeks before my sub runs out.

Finished Unavowed. Very good, a lot more flexibility when it comes to player character and story choices than most adventure games. Almost like a Telltale game mixed with traditional point and click. Only had to consult a walkthrough once, so I'd say the puzzles made sense as well.
Also played through Blair Witch, t'was good. Tried Creature in the Well and Night Call, but neither did much for me.
Currently downloading Gears 5. Let's see if I can finish it before my subscription runs out on Sunday!

Well I'm sure a few people here got the XBox Game Pass again just to play MS Flight Simulator, but I figured I'd give a look at what else has been added in the year since I last dipped in.
Currently playing Carrion, and enjoying it a lot. 2D sidescroller where you play a monster breaking out of a biolab. I wasn't super-excited about this and I think it's because the concept sounded just like the iOS game Perfect Cell, which started off great but soon grew dull. Carrion does play a lot like Perfect Cell, but its pacing is much better, constantly introducing new gameplay twists. I'm also getting strong Prototype-vibes, it's a very similar kinda monster power-fantasy.
Also on my to-play list:
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - already downloaded, will play this next.
Ori 1 & 2 - Still haven't played these!
Strategy games I can't play because I just started Desperados 3 on the PS4 so I'm all filled up on strategy games for a while but anyway I'd love to play these at some point:
Gears Tactics - This is supposed to be surprisingly good, isn't it?
Frostpunk - I also wanna get to this at some point. Maybe a good winter game in lieu of a new TLD episode?
Wasteland 3 - This is coming out on Friday! Haven't played the previous 2 but I feel like I should give these games a whirl at some point.
Should I play these? Someone tell me!
Grounded - This new Obsidian game is supposed to be good, right? I don't feel like playing it tho!
Wolfenstein Youngblood - This is bad right? So I don't have to play it?
WORLD OF HORROR - WHAT IS THIS IT LOOKS AMAZING! And scary.
Pathologic 2 - I played a bit of the first game, didn't really grab me.
Observation - Sci-fi thriller. Looks kinda neat.
Games YOU should play:
The Touryst - Everyone except PigLick needs to play this. PigLick is exempt because he was cool enough to play it before me even. Anyway, you like A Short Hike, right? This is a similar feel-good low-stakes good-times adventure game.
Gato Roboto - Wonderful lil metroidvania.
Lonely Mountains: Downhill - Fun and arcadey downhill mountainbiking game. I had a good time with this on the Switch.

I'm definitely interested in Grounded, though probably not at the current stage and not particularly with randos.
I hear mixed things about Wolfenstein Youngblood; the gameplay seems to be very bulletspongey, but the environments were designed by Arkane. If you want to try it out in coop, I might be up for that - though right now there are also so many other games I want to play in coop, so it's not high up on my list of priorities.
I will gladly second you on Gato Roboto, which was lovely and very charming, and just the right length.

World of Horror is excellent, although the rpg systems are a little obtuse, but if you like that japanese horror guy and lovecraftian cosmic horror this will be right up your alley. The old pc-98 graphics work really well.

Anyway.
Grounded: played the demo. Crafted some shit. Bonked some insects. Apart from being very characterless, it's okay.
WolfenMädchen: currently co-operating with Jesh. It's okay.
Pathologic 2: it's like Pathologic 1, but difficult-er.
Observation: you play as a sentient UI figuring out MYSTERIOUS SHIT on a space station. It's okay.
Frankly, the consensus opinion for all of those is right. Wolf is very much grind, grind, grind and level, level, level. The shooting's good, at least. Grounded has an arachnophobia option which should come in handy for henke.
I'm currently giving Touryst a go. I like the voxel charm of it, and all the cute little details in its environments. I hate the aiming controls for when you need to throw shit, and that the run is a roadie run. The diversions are neat, and there's a certain niceness and disposability to all of them, which is also a double-edged sword if you'd like a little more nuance. Its sharp-angled, sunny beach-themed micro-playgrounds inspire mostly a kind of low-key apathy within me since I
am from a sunny beach city.
It's... okay.
