Weird russian game. The russians loved it (their game of the year in 2005). The rest of the world didn't dig the terrible translation. I liked the game, it was different. Slow, weird. A bit like a Lynch movie. Unfortunately I didn't like the time pressure in the game. I stopped playing half-way, and I'm afraid I might never finish it.
I didn't find the time pressure that bad at all and usually had more than enough time to complete everything. I think it becomes an issue when coupled with the often brutal survival game mechanics were you may end up using a lot of time just getting the stuff you need so you don't starve/fall ill. The terrible translation is a valid criticism in a game where the main motivation for playing is the plot and converstations. Once Ice-Pick release the English version of their next game
The Void they are going to have another crack at transalting it.

I liked Single Player Quake II as well :erm: I played through it quite a few times.
I liked its MP quite a lot better, even better than the original's. I was heavily into Q2CTF and played competitively (and successfully so) for a good while, until the really good players consolidated into their own clans and thrashed everyone else.
Every dog has his day, but once the sun begins to set, you'd best just wander off in that general direction.

I'm a huge faggot for the MGS series so I have to have it.
WHERE IS MY MGS4PC KOJIMA :|
That's exactly what I've been asking this past year because the PC can handle it(don't care how many DVDs it take, screw the PS3!). If you can't tell, I'm also an MGS fanatic.
