Personally, I love games that pull mindfucks on the player. Penumbra, Cryostasis, and to a degree Condemned all do this, but I've played them all and want more unnatural horror. What other (preferably good) games do this?

First three Silent Hill games are all quality candidates, of course.

Brutal Legend = "stealth RTS".

I don't know, Call of Cthulhu?, System Shock 2, Vampire Bloodlines at times?, Dead Space? ... They all still seem sort of tame though.
Then there's some of the J-survival horrors... Fatal Frame, Clock Tower series, FEAR, Resident Evil 4 -- If you're into that sort of thing.
I got creeped out by Anchorhead, even though it's interactive fiction.

Pathologic is a good one and while I haven't played it yet, The Void looks like it would be too.

RE4 as a mind fuck? Yeah nah, that applies to every game in the series. FEAR is from a Yank developer and was pretty tame, relying upon cheap jump scares. The Timegate expansions have far more footing in proper atmospheric horror than the original.
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. I rarely got hit by the sanity effects, because I didn't suck at the game, but there was one that made it appear like your saves were being deleted. That one had me in a panic for a few seconds.

STALKER was major mindfuck for me at times, and literally for my character (X16 and the brainscorcher).

Oh yeah, Second Sight. If you've played the game from beginning to end, you'd know what I mean.
Terrific gem of a game that one, whilst there's too much run and gun for a game that's supposed to centre around psychic powers, the story and narrative delivery more than make up for it.

Darkness Within: In Pursuit of Loath Nolder
this one starts innocently, then start to mess with your mind later on in the game, up to a point where you dont want to go to some locations.
this being the 3d fps version of the game.
