Same here, I loved the game to death, but can fully understand why some people would hate it. While I found the gameplay quite satisfying, there's really not that much to it. In fact, for a similar gameplay experience, PN-01 released by Capcom at around the same time is very similar in that stop/start shooting gallery fashion.

Speaking of old games... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xggCuVU13XM) The Legacy: Realm of Terror really messed with players' heads. It's one of my favourite games. Anyone played it? Remember that music on the fourth floor ((http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjeAjovEr9k) museum)? Or the asylum? :sweat:

I replayed it 3 years ago and it was still great and scary. There are lots of youtube movies that bring back some good memories and make me want to visit astral plane once again. For a quick tour around the house check (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srmuMredTUM) this.

If I ever get back into gaming, I might pick that one up... it's been on my list for a long time.

As for the OP: the only games that have ever seriously unnerved me are System Shock 2 and Silent Hill.

Sanitarium is one of those games I made a mental note of at the time but then forgot; every now and then I would remember, check out YouTube vids and look for it on Amazon but thinking, "Nah, I don't need yet another game on my pile of unplayed titles." Now that it's out on GoG, I might finally check it out.
