Doom 1/2. Mostly because of the mindless number of good custom maps to play that still keep coming out. I don't even want to think how many hours I've spent on that but it's well into the four-digit numbers.
Street Fighter 2. No matter how many new installments of any fighting game come out, I usually ditch them within a month and come back to this as it represents pure zen.
Oblivion. If 300+ hours still counts as "can't quit" then yes.

Hey, thanks! Sadly, I only have the original Neverwinter, not the expansions. I really need to go buy that Diamond Edition.

The series werent the same in G3 either, i'll never forgive PB for that despite that i love Gothic1-2. It's their own fault that the series went to hell, they spent too much time trying to make an Oblivion rip-off and ended up with a terrible flawed game, they didn't give a shit about their fans, they fucked up because they became greedy.
Man, I love it when a company tries something new and falls short. Simply for the tons of angry people that show up screaming "THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT US SELL OUTS RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE".
I agree that Gothic 3 wasn't nearly as great as G1 & 2, but it wasn't what I'd call a horrible game, either. PB wanted to make a game that was as big as Oblivion, but had the attention to detail the Gothics are known for. In the end, they didn't have the money or manpower to pull it off, and the result was a Gothic game that felt stretched too thin. As disappointed as I was, I can't fault them for trying.
But on the plus side, they at least they learned from their mistakes. Because Risen looks to follow more in Gothic 2's footsteps with a smaller, more detailed world.
AND NOW...my list.
Mario 64: As far as I'm concerned, there as never been a bad Mario game. It's a series of nothing but shining high points that are still just as awesome kick-in-the-ass fun to play years down the road. Mario 64 is the best of a great bunch, and I always find myself firing it up every couple of years. In fact, I'm playing through it right now. :D
Gothic 2: Yup. One of the most awesomest games EVER! I still have yet to finish NotR, too. I want to. Even had a game going a couple months back, but for some reason it's the only game I have that won't run in Windows 7. Damn.
Doom 64: I love the Dooms. Doom 64 in particular. I recommend everyone fire it up on nightmare, and bitch about how they don't make em like they used to. Cuz they don't.
Starcraft: I normally hate RTS games. Got burnt out on them back during the C&C'/Warcraft heyday, and have been bored to death of them ever since. All except Starcraft. I love it SOOOO MUCH.
Unreal: NYLEVE FALLS! INTENSE CHANTING JUNGLE BOAT RIDE! HOLY SHIT IT LOOKS REAL! And it's fun.
Crystalis: A good old NES classic. I rented this game like 10 times, and played through it beginning to end on an old black and white TV. I still find it fun to fire up on occasion.
I'm sure there's more, but I'll think of them later.

Oh hell yes. How could I have forgotten about
Doom? ZDoom (and GZDoom) are still being updated, and unlike the mod scene for
Half-Life, the
Doom community hasn't peaked yet--the maps out last year were some of the best I've ever seen.

Well, they didn't make Doom 64 like they used to either, since there's no "Nightmare" difficulty. :p
("Watch Me Die!" is more like the old "Ultra-Violence.")

X3 is better if you let your automated traders work overnight in fast forward. You wake up with enough credits to further your economy.

Oh I disagree. I thought Painkiller was pretty good for a mindless shooter. Pick it up if you haven't.
And speaking of Starcraft, check the Starcraft 2 site if you haven't. You can sign up for the SC2 beta if you live in the US, Australia, or New Zealand. I hope it starts soon!

Painkiller is the fucking cat's ass. I loved it to bits. The final level is suprisingly brilliant.
Battle out of Hell is awesome too.

Starcraft
Fuck yes!
And Heroes 3!
I started playing the former in 1998 and the latter in 1999 and there hasn't been a single year when I didn't reinstall them both at least once for a quick (no, really, just a few hundred hours) rerun.

Deus Ex, (the first) Unreal Tournament, the Half-Life games, Starcraft, the Freespace games... all ones I find myself coming back to time and time again, no matter how many times I've played through them already.
There's also Captain Planet on the Amiga. Although that's mainly because, after about 17 1/2 years, I STILL haven't managed to complete the damn thing!

I guess for me it's Splinter Cell, PT and CT. I just have to replay them at least once a year. :)
