I literally hate a game that masquerades as a game when in actuality it is a donkey-dick sucking exercise of an interactive movie.

Gotta love hyperbole.

Hey, I liked what gameplay there was in the game!

Did you miss all of the gimmicky bile that appeared on CD-ROM media during the early-mid 90's? Unlike those Metal Gear Solid is an actual game.

Three things:
1.WoW(Undoubtedly the worst MMO of all time and you actually have to pay subscription for that rubbish) On a side-note I do like some other MMOs like Guild Wars which has yet to be uninstalled from my PC.
2.Lionheart:Legcy of the Crusades(the system sucked, the setting wasn't even fantasy and I didn't even finish the demo, that's how bad it was.)
3.Clone FPSs(This is more of a genre than a single game but man I hate these things. They get so much hype and reviewers tend to favour this unimaginative nonsense to real and innovative games. I'm talking about things like Halo, Gears of War,Doom 3, Call of Duty etc.
Halo especially has way too much hype,I have played it and it seemed to me like every other Battlefield and Sci-Fi FPS games.

Hey, don't knock Call of Duty. Also Gears of War is not an FPS. If you're going to attack a genre (which is stupid anyway) try to attack games that are actually IN that genre.
Jesus. Next you'll be calling Metroid Prime a Doom clone.

While Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader was a big let-down in the end, it wasn't for the reasons you listed.
The system in the game is S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system from the Fallout, and while maybe it doesn't work too well in this game, it was refreshment after all those D&D games.
The setting was good, mixing fantasy with real people from the Medieval Europe (Da Vinci, Cervantes, Torquemada, Cortes, Shakespeare etc.).
The game starts out great, with whole city of Barcelona to explore, lots of quests that aren't about combat or fetching things, social skills play a large part of the game, but later it all turns into hack 'n slash grind fest. That's too bad, because it could have been a great game.
The game I learnt to despise the most was Morrowind. I taught it would be a great game, it starts OK, but once you get little further into game it turns into most boring action game that pretends to be a RPG game. Never touched Oblivion after that horrible experience with Morrowind.

It's Halo in third person. Big change, time for a genre shift.

Man, S.P.E.C.I.A.L. is so far my favorite cRPG character system. Black Isle really hit the nail on the head with that one.

Yes, it works great in
Fallout games, but in
Lionheart it was a bit unbalanced and not very well implemented. I never played
Arcanum, so I don't know how it works in that game. Any other games using it?
