Farcry. Fuck that game. Fuck checkpoints. Fuck the story. Fuck the AI. Fuck the gameplay. Fuck it. Seriously. Not worth the $20.

I hope I'm not the only one that thinks Fahrenheit (or Indigo Prophecy) just completly shattered any faith in it by screweing up the story at the end.
Added the spoiler tags just in case someone that hasn't played it wants to.
So after sucking me into the story which tends to be about psychology and a lot of fun intrigues about strangers, maybe a double personality and some more things which were just going right.... I find out about
some mayan cult... a damn AI (what in the hell is a cybernetic AI have to do with mayan culture and clans? seriously the world must have evolved a lot in one night for anyone to build such a thing in the first place), matrix style fighting and the somewhat disturbing scene of love making between the detective woman (forgot her name... who cares) and the main character, Lucas, which was now dead (the disturbing part), but still alive (apparently more mayan stuff)
. That was such a letdown I started walking around in my room cursing the producers.

You didn;t stir up shit. You were hardly the 1st on these forums to bash the game, let alone this very thread.
Well I hardly intended to. Calm down and take your pills.

Most people can gauge individual aspects of a production from a whole. I.e. Otherwise virtually no one would appreciate genre films.

Not gonna knock Indigo. I like adventure games in 3D and for the most part it was good. I like QD and their narrative-centric business model.
I only really started playing singleplayer stuff for the next Deus Ex game, along the way I've played some good ones (Gothic), some very so-so ones (Farcry), and some very bland ones (Oblivion).

Well yes, for the most part it was good. Like I said, the ending made me despise it a bit. If there would have been problems like hard controls of weird interfaces it would have been ok, but seeing as it's main thing is its story, well, I really think they screwed it up.

File me under Bioshock as well. It has a truly fantastic setting and an interesting story, but in a game like this I don't want to play how I want to play, I want to be restricted in my options because of the choices I have made earlier and figure out how to work my way around them. Much much better then other games though, but it feels like a nice girl inviting you in only to refuse sleeping with you.

Hahaha, the argumentative power of this board is awesome:
"SoF was a bad game."
"No it wasn't"
"Yes it was"
"
No, it was certainly not"
We're here to discuss opinions. If you really can't handle that gaming is a subjective experience I suggest you stop trolling and only post about politics.

I couldn't agree more. I liked the start of it, but every time I've had the urge to replay it I remember just how shitty the end was and drop it.

How was I not calm? Maybe you need to STOP taking whatever pills you're popping.
