Games you learned to love. - by gunsmoke

It never seizes to amaze me how so many hardcore gamers are confounded by DX, even to this day. Just goes to show how ahead of its time the game really is.
Screw the prequel/sequels, what it needs is a faithful remake.

It never ceases to amaze me how people get words entirely wrong.

Rouge is Koki's favourite shade of lipstick.

Get out.
Have you played the original R6 games? (and not the new R6-3, which is also a piss-ass excuse for a tactical shooter)

I've never heard of
Red Spear. Was it adapted from one of those Chuck Norris B-movies, where the Red Menace has invaded America?
I haven't heard of Red Spear either... what the hell are you talking about?

Yes, yes I have.
First of all calling Counterstrike a tactical shooter at all is laughable, and second of all if it weren't for Doom you wouldn't have your precious Tom Clancy game.
Third of all, get out.

Seize. What? Say you like it.

Oh, and
Operation Flashpoint, of course.
The only one that came to mind after reading through three pages of this thread (well, two pages and a third of garbage). Incredibly difficult to get into, incredibly difficult to enjoy, incredibly difficult game, still, some small moments make it all worthwhile.

Everybody hates Liberty Island, but I love it- it's a perfect introduction to the game and feels very Thiefy in its layout. I'm less partial to some parts of NYC (especially anything involving the Hotel.)
Very much agreed. I remember playing the DX demo on a friend's computer as mine couldn't run it and thinking: wow. In comparison, later parts of the game felt sketchily done and poorly designed.

I've grown increasingly irritated at pretty much all of the NYC/Hong Kong map design; but from Paris on it's significantly better.

I rarely get angry at maps. I don't really notice them unless the gameplay is bad enough to make it noticeable.
