Games you like (Or even love) that everyone else hates. - by Bucky Seifert

It appears that I haven't played a single one, or even heard of most of them.

Well I happen to love a game that was universally hated and most copies got returned to the stores. That game is Trespasser by DreamWorks Interactive. There is even a community at trescom.org that made fan missions and all. I have enjoyed it from day one and still play from time to time.

Atari 2600 Pac-Man was
fine. Yeah, yeah, the Atari 2600 couldn't render the arcade game properly, so the maze is a bit smaller and in different colors, and the ghosts flicker (hilariously it could only render one ghost per frame), but it was basically pac man and fun to play.
I have to admit, when you were stuck at your grandmas house on those long Saturday afternoons, there weren't any cartoons on, and none of your friend were visiting their grandmas that week, it wasn't too half bad.

Damn. Some of you have some bizarre ideas of what constitutes a game 'everyone else hates'. Rage, really?
Anyway, I'm with marbleman.

Well I've almost never heard anyone say much positive about the game in my experience.

Seconding Deus Ex: Invisible Wars it was actually pretty fun if you didn't take it seriously and just head some shooty shooty sneaky fun. Plus, it still has one of the most interesting AI characters you can chat with I've seen in a game.

I know it's hardly the only viable metric, but surely (
http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/rage) this ain't bad?
For my part, the worst thing about the game was its abrupt ending. Apart from that, it was a fun shooter, I thought.

I really liked RAGE too.
I'm having a hard time thinking of anything that qualifies for this thread. Brutal Legend, maybe? Serious Sam 3 seemed to get some flak and I had a blast with that.
Metroid Other M? Wrecking Crew? Light Crusader? Magrunner: Dark Pulse?
Alpha Protocol probably qualifies among the world-at-large, but I get the impression it is quite liked around here regardless.
I had fun with Hydrophobia: Prophecy, but I believe this was after it got seriously patched from the initial batch of reviews.

Does Gun qualify as a bad game? It was nothing out of the ordinary, but I had a blast with it. Same goes for The Punisher (2005).

I thought the Atari game ET was fine as a kid, not the greatest but I liked it. Didn't have any idea it was on a lot of people's "worst game ever" list until much later.
When I was a kid I thought ET was ok, and Pac-Man was decent for what it was. The 2600 game I remember absolutely despising was Superman.
