Games you like (Or even love) that everyone else hates. - by Bucky Seifert

I wouldn't say I liked it, but I played through about 2/3 of the Land of the Dead tie-in game before giving up. It was a pretty terrible game, but it's the only slow-paced, single-player, first-person zombie shooter I've come across, and to its credit captured the feel of the Romero films pretty well. As much as I like games like Left 4 Dead and Killing Floor, what I'd really like to see is something like Rainbow Six with zombies.

Magrunner: Dark Pulse?
Nah. Why would people hate that game? It came out of nowhere, not like anyone had expectations for it, and it's a decent one all around.
Anyway, not exactly "everyone hates" category (although sometimes it sure feels like that), but there's a strong vitriol towards Dragon Age 2, Dark Souls 2, Dead Space 3 and Tomb Raider Angel Of Darkness within their communities, but they are all my favorite games within their respective franchises.
Also, somebody mentioned Evil Islands, I'm just reporting in as someone who loved it. :) I never finished it though because it always crashed before the final boss, but the journey there was amazing. As for that wiki list of negatively received games, I only played DNF. It wasn't a particularly good game, but still had the Duke Nukem spirit IMO, so it was fun enough for a playthrough.

You're not missing that much from the final boss, it's a bit comical. You get all this new equipment in preparation, but you never get to actually use it since the final boss is flying (so your weapons can't hit him, unless you're an archer), and he zaps you to death in two hits anyway once he starts attacking you. The way to win is to just spend all your time healing your ally and let him kill the boss for you (which, honestly, makes much more sense anyway.)
Still, as you said... the journey. It's a shame that there are no other games like it.

I loved Resi 6. It was completely bonkers in co-op. Heck, co-op even managed to save some of Aliens: Colonial Marines, so there's something to be said for that.

And did anyone ever win the contest?
IIRC the crash happened before they had even finished making all of the games.

Were those hated? I thought HR was great if a little repetitive after a while.

Thanks I kind of thought that might have been what happened. They just had a special on cable where they dug up a bunch of those cartridges out in the desert..lol What a crash it was.

Silent hunter 3? Loved that game so much!
