does anyone find using a portable gaming device in a moving vehicle to cause nausea, just out of interest? It sure does to me, so even though I have a DS and Gameboy, I rarely use them as actual portable devices. Also something about a bearded 37 year old man playing fire-red on the SP in a waiting room, I do have my limits.

Yeah, I still want a Pandora.
It's a bit tragic how many difficulties they've had getting the damned thing produced :( There's still nothing else like it, but the hardware itself is not as impressive-seeming as it would once have been, which is a shame.

PSP: I can't really tell, I have almost zero interest in PSP games. Except Wipeout maybe. Still a very nice piece of hardware with "reasonable" battery life considering the power and size of the screen. But it's also very Playstation. If you loved the PS2 it's made for you. I hear it also has a nice batch of small playstation market games.
Such as "A Space Shooter for Two Bucks", a fairly entertaining Shmup with an amusing main character who is probably the biggest asshole I've ever seen in a gaming character.
Overall though, the system's got some great PS2 knockoff games. Persona 3 Portable is out on it, and doesn't lose anything from the PS2 version except cutscenes.

PS Vita: I tried it under NDA a few months ago (don't judge me, I needed to make a quick buck that month -_-). Back then it sucked. Focused on ridiculous social and aug'reality features, piss-poor battery life and trying to put multiplayer at the center of handheld gaming (what?). The graphics are nice though I wasn't impressed.
Why am I not surprised? They've got the capacity to make some fantastic portable games with it and the focus on trying to imitate features that will only ever be successful in Facebook games.

The only person I know who has one is already on his third because they keep falling apart. It put me off.

More succinctly, it means "remember how you passed the time before mobile gaming". How was that hard to understand?...
Thanks Trance, 100% spot on.

@Ostriig: Well, of course I've tried that. Titillating moth sex in the fourth paragraph of the OP! :p
Everybody else: Yep, looks like it's NDS time because there's some rather good stuff on there. And it's cheapers.
Adam: Yes, well, that's sort of what I meant by left-field, and that's what I've contemplated trying if you read my entire post. I'm asking for suggestions, dagnabbit.

Yes Sir, I did read your entire post. I've also read a lot of your posts in other subject matter over the years
Try striking up a conservation with other people around you. You have different thoughts you post about on the forums here at TTLG. You seem very articulate and adapt with how you handle yourself here. So why not forgo the electronic interaction/distraction and try some human interaction.
If that's not what you desire, try some "do it yourself" theoretical physicist deep thought. Albert Einstein did some of his best work while day dreaming at his desk while working as a patent clerk.
Dark matter, dark energy, string theory, 11 dimensions and of course the most difficult one of them all, how to figure out the mindset of the opposite sex.
Your mind "IS" your best medium. All this electronic "Fluff " is an aide at times, while a distraction at others.
End Of Line.
