So who here likes game-related merchandise? My walls are covered with posters I bought from Valve (and I am expecting the L4D movie posters hopefully by tomorrow), and of course I have shirts... does anyone else have stuff like that? Soundtracks, collector's editions, so on and so forth. Hell, I think even strategy guides count nowadays, considering how much they fucking COST.
Doesn't necessarily have to be stuff you bought- I have a Fallout 3 poster I got for free when I preordered.

I think I could like some game merchandise but I've never actually seen anything that I want. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, and feel free to point me in the right directions, but none of the various posters, t-shirts and figurines I've seen have elicited more than a 'meh' from me.

I've never bought gaming merch, but I have a fair amount of it that I've gotten for free at cons and whatnot. T-shirts, especially, but a few mouse pads, posters, and notebooks work their way into the mix.

I have a couple game t-shirts, Left 4 Dead and Virtua Fighter 4 (won the latter, I've never played it myself).
-A nice big Orange Box cloth mouse pad.
-The Silent Hill soundtracks.
Game posters though? Nah, my walls are covered in film posters. Oldboy, Kitano's Zatoichi, Michael Mann's Collateral, Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Wong Kar Wai's 2046, Kill Bill vol. 2.

I have none of these things but that's only because the shirts I see just don't cut it. There are so many HL2 images that would be excellent for t-shirts but on the site there is such a poor selection. This is also true of many games, but I'm surprised at Valve since there are so many fans. Its an untapped market.
And gaming figurines are probably the lamest thing in the world imho.

Okami and Katamari soundtracks, but those aren't so much merchandise as legitimate additions to my music library.
yep

I have a few odds and ends, the HL2 t-shirt, the Big Daddy figure, a random crappy A4-sized GTA "poster"... I don't think I've ever specifically bought any. Although I do have an awesome Mario Kart remote control Donkey Kong that my brother got me :D
I wouldn't mind getting more video game merch if 99% of it wasn't so nerdy and kitsch.... something with some actual design skill to it. Most stuff just seems to be for geeks who need a new tshirt and so go for the one with the lol funny vidya game joke!!

I for one am disappointed Valve never released a Day of Defeat shirt.
That said I love their L4D shirts, but the one I have is of significantly different, thinner fabric than their other shirts. The others appear to be "beefy Ts" and this one is more like a dustrag.

I don't consider stuff packaged with Special/Limited Editions to be "merch". You had to have bought it separately from the game itself.
