Holdup, you
buy games you can't even play on your current system? What?
That's TTLG for you
<3 videogames

I love videogames too but if you don't have a system that can run the game, then it's not a game. It's just a useless piece of plastic. If Enchantermon would wait with buying the game he could: a) save up some money for a newer system and b) buy the same game later on for less money.

Oh hi, I compressed your list. You can play most of these even on a crap rig.
I tried Cryostasis and couldn't even get it to start. The rest, however, are more likely to be on the "sooner rather than later" end of the list.

Some of them (off the top of my head, Mirror's Edge and Ghostbusters, but I'm sure there are more) I thought I could play by looking at the requirements, but then when I tried, performace was so utterly horrible that it wasn't going to happen. And they were bought during the blowout sales, like Steam's cheap Christmas deals; games going for 5 bucks or less. I would never buy anything over $10 if I didn't think it had a good chance of running on my PC. Any less than that, and it depends on how badly I want it. :P The majority of these games are also digital downloads, which makes them cheaper.

Well that was the exception, along with CoP. Cryostasis is a super bitch, I think it's more demanding than even Metro 2033.

Ah, sorry, somehow I missed the "most" in your post.

But anyway, to illustrate, here's my backlog:
...
Duke Nukem 3D
.
.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

In my defense, I was 8 when Duke Nukem 3D came out and was unable to play it. I was only recently able to acquire it when it was released on GOG.
As for Sands of Time, I'm hoping to play the series in order if I can find copies of the older games.

I was just kidding there, 'mon. :D I figured DN3D must've been before your time if you hadn't tried it out yet.
And as for PoP, you can skip PoP 3D and PoP 2 because they are trash and finger-bleedingly masochistic respectively.
The original PoP's always worth a whirl, but you're probably going to find the difficulty curve's like a sheer brick wall lined with spikes that inexorably closes in on you and the left side of the screen while you try to scale it.
My advice: just go with PoP: Sands of Time first. It's a brand new story and you won't lose anything in playing it out of chronological order.

Ah, okay. I figured they must be really good if you were that angry about it.

My real concern with playing a series out of order is spoiling the story, so if I don't have to worry about that, then okay.

Pop 3d? you mean the original pop from the 80s? That's the first one I've played... Yes it's hard but it's also the one that started it all. Telling someone to overlook it is silly imo. Besides, you can download the old pop games off the interwebs.:) Not like it'll cost you a dime.
