Do you think that these two would have got together if they had been in the same era
I was just playing Tomb Raider anniversary and was struck by the number of similarities between these two
Both have experience raiding tombs
Both can use stealth
Both are very agile
What do you think

Lara Croft would be Indiana Jones to Garrett's Belloq. Well, not quite. Heh. She'd be looking to get an artifact for a greater cause, and Garrett would be trying to get the same artifact for the money he could make for himself.
Could be an interesting archrivalry.

Garret is not that agile, he lives by videogame tropes.
I felt like a normal dude playing the first Thief games if it wasn't by the fact that Garret never goes tired of running or climbing.

Actually, i dunno if he even actually SAYS the line, but it's in the game files.

Neh, the hell with Lara. If you're gonna pair Garrett up with a woman aside from Viktoria, you should pair him up with Winry from Full Metal Alchemist, or maybe Seras Victoria (aside from the name, ^_^) from Hellsing.

My exact thoughts about a half hour in The Lost City in T1, when I played it first about a week or two ago (can't remember): "this is SUCH a Tomb Raider clone". It reminded me A LOT about the Peru segment of TR1.
However I'd say that only some of the
levels are similar - Lara and Garrett obviously have completely different approaches to doing stuff. :) (Aww Burricks are so cute. I wish Lara had had a blackjack so she could have just knocked the cute wolves and dinosaurs in TR1. :) )
(I'm pretty much a Thief newbie and I haven't played that much TR games - Only done about half of T1, completed Tomb Raider 1 and Tomb Raider: Legend, and played a little bit of TR2 - so this might not exactly be a fair comparison .)

Garrett is NOT very agile, atleast not like lara croft & the gang.
...:And that is what I really like about Garrett; he's not really THAT superman-ish. I really hate characters like lara croft.

The Lost City was intentionally made for Tomb Raiding style gameplay. In case the burglary gameplay didn't work out, there was that level to fall back on.
A lot of the taffers around here didn't really like the Lost City gameplay originally, compared to the rest of the game.
