I would have to play through Thief 1 again to get the full story and chemistry... were there not hints of some chemistry going on... you know before she ripped his eye out.
I personally think that they wanted thief 2 to be longer and have time to develop a Garrett Vicky relationship. The missions into the slums of the city and the necromancers castle could have provided plenty of time to develop the story... it was just cut so short (masks v1 and v2 – Honestly?!?)... btw what happened to that developers note book that was raffled off a wee while back... did the lucky winner ever scan in and publish the pages?

And the first fifty pages was scanned. I just checked it but the account seems to be suspended and further pages don't seem to be coming soon. According to how it read (to me at least), was that the necromancer's tower and what-not where to fill the gap between Casing and Masks (Is that the right order?), not for some relationship furthering.

Garrett is a heartless, avaristic thief. Well, apart from saving the world every now and then. Viktoria is basically a pagan demon. I don't think romance was ever much of an option. He has a heart of stone, she's got tits of wood.

Actually, Viktoria is a Dryad or in simple terms, a wood nymph. She was heavily influenced by Constantine's beliefs in TDP which explains why she acted so chaotic back then.

Actually, I always liked to think there was something betwen the two of them, opposites attract, and all.
besides, even Garret has to get it at some stage. :thumb:
