A character as infamous as Garrett is bound to be the inspiration of many other characters, but where can we find actual recreations of Garrett in other games?
For anyone who still plays good ol' Dungeon Siege, I found an old mod that adds a Garrett skin, complete with his very own item set.
Here's a link to the downloads page where you can see a picture of the skin. Scroll down a bit. (

I know there's some thiefy mods for Oblivion, but can you guys think of other games with similar mods for them?

Yea, I was just going to say this. Over at the Elder Scrolls community there are plenty of Thief Fans, and there are lots of cool Thief mods for both Morrowind and Oblivion.

Whilst they couldn't name Garrett for copyright reasons, Dark Messiah has a thief's cloak that has +3 stealth ability, with the letter "G" written on it :) It makes a thief pretty much unbeatable except in full daylight.

Of course, because TDS and Dark Messiah were sort of brothers, this makes sense.

Why brothers? And why TDS?
This doesn't make any sense.

I was just about to ask the same thing. Dark Messiah's stealth skill tree resembles the Thief gameplay, but it is a Might and Magic game on the Source engine.

Dark Messiah had a couple of gameplay mechanics and elements which would fit Thief well (consequent 1st person perspective, "swimmable" water, semi-buggy rope arrows and ladders, AI who can climb and jump, big spiders which can walk on the wall, play things like the ability to burn and throw crates etc.) and IIRC Purah, the author of the Calendra missions worked on it.
Besides that, TDS was a game and Dark Messiah a physics demo with cutscenes.

Yes, I know that the games are pretty similar in that aspect, but I was just wondering why infinity wrote that Thief: Deadly Shadows (why not T-DP and/or T-MA) were sort of brothers? The games didn't share the game engine or any members of the development team or anything like that to justify calling them brothers. It was just one game (Dark Messiah) borrowing some of it's aspects (stealth gameplay) from another (Thief).
Maybe it wold be better calling it drawing inspiration from Thief.
