Yes, I know that the games are pretty similar in that aspect, but I was just wondering why infinity wrote that Thief: Deadly Shadows (why not T-DP and/or T-MA) were sort of brothers? The games didn't share the game engine or any members of the development team or anything like that to justify calling them brothers. It was just one game (Dark Messiah) borrowing some of it's aspects (stealth gameplay) from another (Thief).
Maybe it wold be better calling it drawing inspiration from Thief.
Well, one thing TDS shared with DMMM is the fact that sareth and garrett have a full body. If you look down, you can see your feet. And gameplay in DMMM was quite similar with thief.

So that one thing (which is shared by many games I guess) is the reason to call the games related? Gameplay in Dark Messiah was similar to Thief if you played as a stealthy character, otherwise it was not. I guess we could call Call Of Cthulhu-DCotE Thief's brother (or cousin) because it has stealthy bits.
Anyway, we have gone offtopic with all this "sort of brother" thing. Back to the Garrett in other games.
